What a way to dive in, eh! He's getting up early with me and we're going to the polls together. He's really into it, and can't wait to vote for Ned.

That's m'boy!

3. It's always fun to be part of the process
I remember casting my first vote in 2002 for NJ Senator Frank Lautenberg, I remember signing in to vote and talking to a lady who voted for Truman. I was like...woah.

4. Special time.
I remember taking both my boys to their first vote. It was pretty cool after all the times they stood with me while I voted.

Have fun! Tell him Way To Go!

5. Congrats!!!
My dad did the same with me. I hope to do it with my daughter when she's old enough.

I'm know you are very proud!

9. Tomorrow will be my daughter's first vote as well!
I'm taking the day off in order to be there with her. She drove home from college a couple of hours away today because she missed the deadline for absentee ballots. I'm kind of glad since I think the experience of going to your polling place and making those decisions is much more exciting that filling out a ballot and mailing it in. However, we use the dreaded Diebold machines here...so who knows what will happen to our votes.

10. That's great!
And a great candidate to vote for for the first time. My first vote was for John Kerry and I'm still proud of that and always will be. :loveya: I'm always excited to vote and this is my third election now.

11. My son has turned into a complete cynic
since his first vote two years ago. He's convinced that both parties are corrupt. The only thing getting him to the polls tomorrow is the opportunity to vote for Bernie.

12. My 18 yr old son is super-pumped
Edited on Mon Nov-06-06 11:53 PM by qwertyMike
I think he had sex for the first time last weekend.

Of course I didn't ask .. . . but I remember :) . . . . sigh

I don't think he can vote in Canada till he's 19 - probably the last thing on his mind.

But he can die in Afghanistan.
Mike

14. OUTSTANDING
I hope he got a few friends to think about the effects of politics on their life and well being. I've got about 40 yrs on your son, but I'm pumped too. I doubt that I'll sleep tonight. I live right next to the local polling place and have a camera set up to monitor the traffic. If the vote count doesn't match traffic I can hang the stinkin bastid's.
