Has ANYONE who has ever won an election via fraud been kicked out? |
|
I ask this question in regard to all the horrendous illegal voter suppression tactics that have occurred today. E.g., reports of Duckworth supporters calling Democratic headquarters saying they won't vote for Duckworth because of "her harassing calls" which actually came from the RNC.
So what if a bunch of these clowns win because of this suppression? There's nothing we can do about it, right? I mean, their candidate still wins. They won't hold another election to rectify the situation. The phone freepers might get a slap on the wrist, maybe a fine, or they might even get sentenced to 10 months in jail, which eventually gets suspended and changed into community service. But in the meanwhile, the LOSING candidate wins, and nothing can be done about that (???)
This angers me so much, because I'm thinking a substantial number of good candidates may lose because of this, and nobody will ever pay, and really bad people will take office, and nobody will do anything about that either.

4. Yes: Xavier Suarez, mayor of Miami |
|
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Xavier_SuarezSuarez was removed from office in March 1998 when a court ruled that there was absentee ballot fraud in an election against Joe Carollo, resulting in the jailing of the city commissioner and thirteen staff members. Later elected to the Executive Committee of the Miami-Dade Republican Party, Suarez has admitted to "handling" absentee ballot forms in the 2000 presidential election.

7. But Rove has built in "plausible deniability" into this |
|
Any Rethug candidate can say "I had no clue that they were doing this".

6. This HAS to stop. I mean it just HAS to STOP |
|
I've had it. This is enough. Goddamn it.
The DNC should spend every goddamned dime they have left and flood the airwaves with commercials tomorrow explaining what has happened. But then they wouldn't have anything left to spend on lawyers, but it might be too late then anyway.
