Do you know of anyone who voted * in 2004 who's voting Dem this time? |
|
I want to hear stories to reinforce the feeling that the Repubs won't get another bogus "mandate" this time

1. Well , my family and friends are pretty smart |
|
so I really don't know anybody that voted for Bush in 2004. Only my uncle voted for Bush in 2000, and he came to regret his vote very quickly.

2. I know people who regret voting for Bush in 2004, |
|
but they don't plan to vote Democratic. They seem to have fallen for the Republican spin, "the Democrats are even worse than we are!"

and a few that claim they aren't voting at all. Best one as far as voting, West Point graduate in Johnstown, PA that was repub but voting all Dem this time. They really f-ed up when they went after Murtha (who helped get said person appointed to West Point.) Rick man on dog lost the same vote just because he is one of them and didn't stand up for Murtha. He has even gone from getting upset with me for calling him Man on dog to adding it to his name too. He has also been very vocal about how the repubs went after Murtha and how bad that was. I think the repukes. really messed up there.

my coworker Kevin has never voted Democrat in his life, he is a lifelong Republican - he started asking questions during Katrina but what really sent him over the edge was being called a terrorist-appeaser because of his unease with the direction of the Iraq war - THAT'S BULLSHIT he told me, I can't question them without being a TRAITOR? He early voted straight Dem in protest.

6. My ex-husband and most of his friends |
|
who are ALL unemployed right now. My daughter told me this last week. Not only does he no longer consider himself a repug, he has developed an intense hatred for *, and this guy always goes all out.
He is a sailboat fanatic (he even has an iceboat) and so, to let everyone know that he loves sailing, he keeps this old sailboat on the front two acres of his land and he decorates it with lights and such for various holidays (it's Wisconsin, o.k.). He recently hung signal flags on the stays which she says have all of his neighbors wondering. The flags spell F CKGWB, but almost no one knows how to read them.
If this guy hates * and the repugs, there is definitely hope. He used to LOVE Dumbya.
So cheer up. P.S. he told my daughter "Tell your mother I'm voting, and Not for the R's."

A friend who thanks to Republican parents and freeper friends voted Repuke in 2004 has since seen the light and will vote Dem this year. I know of NO ONE who voted for Kerry who is now suddenly a Repuke. The tide is turning, folks.

8. Yes. I suspect I've converted 2 people. They have to listen to me |
|
all the time for one thing, and I also get anyone who will take the DVD from me to watch "Hijacking Catastrophe" and now "911: Push for truth." I also made a 15 minute audio CD of Glenn Greenwald describing how radical * is in an interview, and hand out copies.
Both these are older men that I work with who've always voted republican almost out of habit, but I think they've seen the light now what with me shining it their faces for several months.
