hopefully by this time tomorrow night, history will have changed...
or it may just mark the last time that America had a chance to stand up before it fell into a darkness that it may never fully emerge from.
the dangers of republicans holding onto power these last two years, when b*sh and his mafia will make their final push to destroy the past 70 years of progress is too much to not fight for.
with nothing left to lose, make no doubt, without a democratic congress to keep them in check, america truly faces perhaps the greatest threat to itself it has ever seen.
tomorrow is the day of days. and in this time of need we have found that the true enemy of freedom is not outside, but staring back at us. it is a cancer that has wrapped itself in our great flag and girded itself in false symbols of freedom. with one mouth and with a forked tongue it speaks of democracy, while seeking through the stroke of the pen to erase that same democracy. with one party that has surrended any sense of humanity, dignity, and self respect and replaced it with nothing but a lust for power, a party that seeks power so badly as to work to keep americans FROM voting. a party that craves power so badly, that it would provide cover for predators who prey on our children, from thieves who rob our treasury, and from an executive who has betrayed his oath of office and more importantly, his oath on the Constitution before the Almighty God.
do we, as americans, allow the most sacred treasure of liberty pass into shadow, or do we take a stand and get ourselves back onto the road of redemption for our national spirit and national character. America can only truly be a "shining city on the hill" with the fires of justice, liberty, and equality to light it. without that, and simply rhetoric coupled with hatred, incompetance, and greed, America, the TRUE america, the dream, will die.
hopefully by this time tomorrow night, America will have chosen to turn from that path. otherwise, there may truly be no turning back.
good night, and good luck
"America will never be destroyed from the outside. If we falter and lose our freedoms, it will be because we destroyed ourselves."
Abraham Lincoln
