At least Santorum is honest about his pResident
As much as I hate the bastard bushbot I give him credit for being honest and standing behind his idiot president. It's like a breath of fresh air after seeing all the gop duechebag candidates running away from the chimp like he was the black death itself.

AnD Santorum will pay the price.

The champagne is chilling...

5. Exactly. They rubber stamped Bush100%
and our troops are dying for his oil or whatever his latest version is as to why our troops are in Iraq.

He changes the story so often, no one can keep up with it.

6. phone call last evening - not a robo - real person
got a call from some santorum backer

normally I would just hang-up, but I was feeling a bit feisty.

I let them go through their speil about why casy is bad and Santorum is good.
Then they asked me if they could count on my vote for Santorum

Me: Well, I'm still a bit undecided. I have a few questions, do you have the time to answer them? I know you are busy making phone calls...but I'd appreciate a few answers

Santorum caller (SC): perks up Certainly, what would you like to know

Me: I would like to know why I would vote for Santorum when he seems to be just, well, for lack of a better term, when he just rubberstamps anything the Bush administration wants.

SC: pauses, gets a little indignent Senator Santorum doesn't rubberstamp. He's his own man, and follows his conscience and principles.

Me: Ok, how did he vote on the Iraq Resolution back in 2002

SC: many Democrats supported the Resolution

Me: So if I vote Democratic it makes no difference?

SC: well, well, we are at war

Me: we were at war in Afghanistan at the time, the Resolution had to do with invading Iraq. but let's leave that question for now. How did he vote on Cheney's Energy bill?

SC: he voted for it, he supports energy

Me: chuckleGlad to hear that he supports Cheney's energy. How about the Republican Drug plan written by drug companies? Did he support that?

SC: Sen. Santorum is very concerned about our seniors receiving affordable prescription drugs

Me: yeah, until seniors hit the donut hole and flounder. Is he planning on filling in the donut hole?

SC:getting flustered Senator Santorum has always supported our seniors and he is concerned.

Me: You know the gays want marriage rights - how does he feel about equal rights for gays?

SC: Sen. Santorum believes marriage is between a man and a woman.

Me: Ok, well thank-you for your time.

SC: I'm glad to be of assistance, can we count on your vote tomorrow?

Me: no

8. I was feeling a bit feisty
like I said, I would normally just hang up. However given the stories about ROBO-calls...

since it was a REAL person calling from the REPUB side of the aisle, I figured if I could waste 15-20 minutes of their time, then it would 15-20 minutes where at least this person wasn't calling other people
