"Exit polls traditionally have a Democrat (sic) bias."

Oy. Setting up the faithful.

11. They have been in decline for years
and every election they whine they need re-weighting to account for their successful vote suppression and theft. One really fair election and the GOP would be more worried about being overtaken by the Greens or Libertarians for the second spot.

14. And let's not forget Mitrofsky's famous call for Feinstein to
be governor in California.

Issued to the media, but somebody was suspicious and checked with another poll ... showing that Feinstein clearly was *not* the winner. Mitrofsky's call for Feinstein was promptly shelved pending counting the votes.

There was the bad call for NJ governor. Three different length forms. Who knew that dems would be insulted given a short form and refuse to fill it out, while repubs would complete the short form but not like the long form?

Early exit polls ... bad. Even final exit polls have been ... bad.

It's all in the assumptions ... the weightings and how you handle the non-respondents. All the rest of the banter is confirmation bias speaking.

13. Not all exit polls.
Just the ones where voting was done electronically.
Hmmm, I wonder why that could be. Must be a coincidence!
:sarcasm:

5. Exit polling is NOT rocket-science...
You ask people leaving the polls who they just voted for. That info is reported to a central agency (traditionally, Voter News Service). VNS reports the results.

Unbelievable!:grr:

6. Not bias for Democrats - bias for the truth.
When you start to believe your own propaganda over reality, the you're doomed.

8. That "tradition" started in 2000
...when exit polls showed Dem wins that magically went to the Repugs, and they had to explain it by sowing distrust of the exit polls.
