24 Minutes To Vote - Start To Finish |
|
24 Minutes
8:50 am. I left the house for the 4-mile drive to the voting place. 8:56 am. Arrive at voting place (local High School) 8:56 - 9:08 Sign in, escorted to voting machine, vote, exit 9:08 Leave voting place in route to home 9:14 Arrive back at home
There was no line at the voting place, in fact no one else was voting at any of the half dozen machines in the room. The High School houses two different voting precincts, one votes up stairs, one down stairs. There was more than adequate parking close to the voting place.
I do not remember the name of the company that made the voting machine, 'Ivotronic' or something similar I believe. They had Touch-screen machine with a visible (under window) paper tape recording vote choices. I watched each selection be accurately printed. No problems.
It should be this way everywhere as far as I can see
