So - Who won't be surprise
Edited on Tue Nov-07-06 10:50 AM by stop the bleeding
when the elections are stolen and the MSM attributes the GOP's victory to a late 72 hour shift in the voter's views on issues.

I mean for weeks we have heard nothing except that the DEMS were/are gonna kick the crap out of the GOP on every level and almost on evey issue.

Now we have several reports that the MSM says that the GOP is closing fast all of this coming out withing 24-72 hours of the election.

This is unbelievable - 2000 and 2004 is happening all over again.

I feel like I am in a bad scene from the movie Ground Hog.

As my avatar states: I voted but I don't know if I can take another stolen election.

7. I'll be surprised, but can't say I'm not afraid of it happening.

I see the obnoxious shilling going on the past few days, the talk of a Republican "surge". But it's not like 2000 and 2004, where the races WERE closer by any polling (2002, too), and there was a presidential candidate on the ballot to "swing" things (i.e. vote would likely mirror vote for that candidate, and those races were closer... not saying the results were accurate).

So I see them trying to provide "cover" for a steal, and I've been worried about it.

But this time, despite the media's harping on the generic Repub-Dem polling showing (in a few polls) slight gains for Repubs, everyone KNOWS that Dems are SOLIDLY leading in enough individual races to at least take the House. Even by conservative estimates.

This time, if the Dems don't at least win the House, I think a very large and vocal contingent (within the media even) will be challenging the election results.

8. They Can't Steal The House
That would raise too many red flags which is the last thing they want. If there is hanky panky it will be in the Senate. But look at it this way. People are on the alert about election fraud now. A majority of people in this country believe that there is a voting problem. That awareness has taken the voting issue out of the tinfoil region and now we have a better chance of reform. It is also my contention that by the time * is finished, the American people will never again give one party both houses and the presidency. So say we don't win the Senate back, that gives us a better shot at the presidency. That combined with having the house and voter reform makes the future brighter than it was in 2'02 & 2'04.

11. Well, if the republicans truly are closing fast
then the american people are just dumb as dirt. However, I don't believe it and if the republicans win they have once again stolen the vote. Why would that be surprising? What has truly been done to prevent that from happening? Didn't Greg Palast warn that they would do just that?

But, I'll vote and I'll work the polls and I will hope for the best.

12. Well at least they can't use the 'Moral' issue bullshit ......
they used to explain the stolen 2004 election. It's all out on the table just how Immoral this Republican Controlled House and Senate is. Hang in there it's still early, all we can do now is overwhelm them at the polls today. The sun will still come up tomorrow what may. Peace.

13. Defeatism
On election day?

You know who wants to see Democrats depressed and not going to the polls? Karl fucking Rove. I'll bet he'd thank you if he knew what you were doing.

15. I would be shocked. The Democrats will win so we can share the blame for the coming
shitstorm.

I hope I'm wrong, but the next few years are going to be very rough, and the re:puke:s want to hold the unitary executive position. If they steal this one, it would expose them and their methods to the public in general, whereas, if they let the Dems win this cycle it will provide cover for '08 and spread the blame around.
