AGAIN - DOW soaring in anticipation of Dem sweep!
Corporate profits go UP, long term not just immediately after boondoggle profiteering, under Democratic leadership. Just look at the numbers over the years. Repukes destroy the economy and eventually reduce corporate profits. Right now the DOW is UP 61.55. S&P UP 5.63. NAS UP 20.95.

GO DEMS GO! :dem::kick:

8. Did you read my OP?
I said the DOW is reacting to a change in Congressional leadership. The economy IS in the tank under * and the Repukes. Investors are obviously optimistic that things will be changing soon.

4. I dunno... I think the repugs have been holding back the floodgates
I think the economy is a LOT worse than it looks, and it'll be revealed when the Dems win. They'll be holding a very hot potato. Of course long term progressive policies will fix it, but...

6. I agree that the economy is generally bad
But that hasn't stopped the stock market from finally rebounding from the first 5 Bush years. I don't quite understand it to be honest. I think the problem is that a lot of people speculating on Wall St. are stuck in their own little bubble. The job market in the USA is absolutely dreadful but I think Wall St. actually loves that, at least for the time being.

7. DOW is not the economy. It just reacts to events
it considers favorable or unfavorable to profits.
