More star donors?

[question everything]

steve2470 and I yesterday donated to DU on behalf of others so that they could get a star.

But more are needed.

So if you want to help fellow DUers who cannot afford to donate but who may be shut off the forums if, worst case scenario - according to Skinner - this site may be overwhelmed and limited to donors only, please start a new thread and I will alert the others.

BTW, I donate through Amazon since I don't need to fill all those paypal forms. The only "draw back" is that it requires an email to Skinner [e-mail] with one's DU name. Amazon, of course, is using one's real name as listed on one's credit card.

1. I don't get how one designates that a donation is on behalf of someone else.

I may be missing something, but I don't see that on the donation page.

and you tell him that you'd just donated X amount of money using the method that you used and that you want these people to get stars from this donation.
