Not ready to make nice
Edited on Tue Nov-07-06 11:57 AM by DainBramaged
I was angrier than I've ever been when * was sworn in.

Forgive, sounds good.
Forget, I'm not sure I could.
They say time heals everything,
But I'm still waiting

I couldn't believe we got our faces rubbed in the dirt in 2002.

I'm through, with doubt,
There's nothing left for me to figure out,
I've paid a price, and i'll keep paying.

And after the fiasco and Swift Boating in 2004, I was almost done with the entire process.

I'm not ready to make nice,
I'm not ready to back down,
I'm still mad as hell
And I don't have time
To go round and round and round
It's too late to make it right
I probably wouldn't if I could
Cause I'm mad as hell
Can't bring myself to do what it is
You think I should

I watched thousands of our children come home dead or maimed from a phony war.

I know you said
Why can't you just get over it,
It turned my whole world around
and i kind of like it

I dropped out of the Middle Class because this wasn't the place for an old man to be.

I made by bed, and I sleep like a baby,
With no regrets and I don't mind saying,
It's a sad sad story
That a mother will teach her daughter
that she ought to hate a perfect stranger.
And how in the world
Can the words that I said
Send somebody so over the edge
That they'd write me a letter
Saying that I better shut up and sing
Or my life will be over

I got sick and there was no one there to help me escape, just bills and threats while the doctors got richer.

I'm not ready to make nice,
I'm not ready to back down,
I'm still mad as hell
And I don't have time
To go round and round and round
It's too late to make it right
I probably wouldn't if I could
Cause I'm mad as hell
Can't bring myself to do what it is
You think I should

And today is the day to take my Country back, and bring back the visions of peace and prosperity we once had. And the promise that our children won't be buried to their necks paying the price for the mistakes their parents once made.

Forgive, sounds good.
Forget, I'm not sure I could.
They say time heals everything,
But I'm still waiting

Payback is a bitch.

THANKS TO THE DIXIE CHICKS FOR THE INSPIRATION. AND TO SONY FOR PUBLISHING THEIR RECORDS
