WE voted and are happy
to say that we encountered no problems with anything that we know about. Spoke with a member of my Democratic Party who was handing out literature outside the polls (legally, of courst) and he said that based on what he encountered, alot of people were accepting the literature and saying that were going to vote Dem this year. About 3 to 2, he said. that was a big surprise, especially here in Flagler County, Florida, where Repubs are dominant. Just thought I'd pass that along as a bright spot on what I believe will be a very bright day for us.

3. Good news
Let's hope it continues. And welcome to DU, albeit somewhat belatedly.

but were not expecting trouble. nothing exciting ever happens here. :)

got to vote again for David Price. Very smart man- hope he can assume a leadership role - the whole country would benefit.

7. I voted
I voted here in Alamance County, NC and although we had electronic voting machines I was surprised to see that they had a paper trail. A little bar-coded ballot was generated as you cast your vote for each seat, the paper ballot updated and then at the end everything was verifiable before I confirmed and cast my ballot.

I think this machine should be a standard across the country. It certainly eased my concerns.

I am not sure which company produced the machine there was no obvious logo that I saw, but I was glad to see that our county supervisor of elections must be aware of the problems surrounding electronic voting, and chose a machine that addressed some of those concerns.
