1. CNN made a big deal this morning about not reporting on exit polls
until very late in the day. We'll see...

3. They are not going to trickle in because all the news guys
are being sequestered in the polling room.

4. I don't believe any of the networks will report exit polls until voting ends
in a particular state.

You may find some info on the web, if you want to believe any of it...

14. I think Howard Kurtz said at 5:00 the sequestered could release the polls.

All the reps of networks are in a room somewhere. And not allowed to call out until that time. Let's hope nobody breaks...the law and releases them at 2PM like with Kerry.

No exit polls at all on House Races.

Just Governors and Senate.

16. Because they have been off the last few election cycles. So it is an
embarrassment to the networks.

9. edison will be giving first data to media customers at 5 pm
Edited on Tue Nov-07-06 12:00 PM by Land Shark
I am doing an exit poll via zogby and i'm supposed to have data at 10 p.m. EST with polls not closing until 11 pm EST here locally because of time zones.

on edit: first data to customers at 5 does not mean release of anything at 5,,, necessarily

13. When the polls close in the district/state.
Then, the news media will begin using exit polling data to determine winners.

Swing State Project has a list of poll closing times and their associated competitive races. Very handy as a check-off list.
