You have to remember that nothing is ever the fault of a dedicated right winger. If he fails, it is the fault of dirty politics, biased coverage and/or the liberal agenda. Which is why, for example, Rummy is still Secretary of Defense, removing him would be an admission that an error was made and everyone knows the right wing never makes an error.
If you have trouble with this logic, you need to listen to Rush until such time as the last scrap of intelligence is drained out of you and you are reprogrammed with the correct thoughts (that are not your own).
