300 people already waiting in line in Denver to vote!!!
Edited on Tue Nov-07-06 01:38 PM by whereismyparty
CNN just reported...Due to power failure. They said the electronic machines have their own internal power, but the poll workers are working with laptops! Also 14 initiatives on the ballot are keeping things slow. Jeez...This is gonna' get ugly...

1. This is really bad for us
It may lead to defeat for the Democratic SoS, Treasurer and AG candidates (well, AG was a long shot anyway), and probably the defeat of civil unions if Denver has a problem voting.

The response to this by a Republican on a Colorado blog? "Good", and "if there has to be a problem somewhere, I'd rather it be in Denver than El Paso County" (Colorado Springs). When called on it he said Democrats would be "creaming" our pants if El Paso County couldn't vote. They just don't get it, do they?

2. People need to study the initiatives before they get into the booth
I'm not blaming the voters of course, but it sure speeds things up.

I just voted in my Denver precinct and it took all of 2 minutes. It's never busy in the morning.
