Email from a Maryland voter:
(The photo is of a perfectly nice-looking black man in gardened driveway...but I have no way to upload it.)

I took this picture at my polling place. These guys (there were three at my polling place alone) have been bussed down to Maryland from Philadelphia. They are homeless and are being paid (I spoke with one of them for a good ten minutes).

"My county is majority black. The Republican candidate, Michael Steele, is black. They are doing today exactly what they did in 2004 to get the blacks in my county to vote for the black candidate.

They have a slick glossy handout with photos of three local prominent black men:

Wayne Curry, my former county executive who was thrown out of office a couple of years ago.

Kweisi Mfume, former head of the NAACP, and the man I voted for in the September primary for US Senate - the Democratic primary. He has actively campaigned for Ben Cardin.

Jack Johnson, our current county executive who has campaigned hard for the Democratic US Senate candidate, Ben Cardin.

The flier says "Ehrlich-Steele Democrats." Problem? Only Wayne Curry supports Michael Steele. They lie. Inside, they have a "Democratic Sample Ballot" with all democratic candidates EXCEPT the senate and governor.

They are so pathetic."
