I hope for a Democratic victory in BOTH houses... but
how many truly liberal democrats will there be...

Anything is better than the Nazi rethuglicans, but I have lost almost all faith in the spineless Dems too...

Where is the talk of Universal health care?... Where is the talk of protecting Womens Rights?.... Where is the talk of supporting affirmative action??.... Where is the talk of reversing our imperialistic foreign policies around the world?.... Where is the talk of eliminating this BS war on drugs??

I don't hear the DEMS rallying around these issues!!...

The DEMS are just Rethug-Lites....

Unfortunately, its still just a choice of the lesser of two evils... For me this was a vote to stop the Rethugs... not a vote for DEMS!

Flame if you must... I am a liberal first, before I am a democrat !...

1. Here is the key difference

Democrats are politicians. If you organise in large numbers and demand things like Universal Health Care, they will bow to the pressure and do what you tell them. You saw what happened with those immigrant protests earlier this year, the Democrats in the Senate were forced to act to water down that fascist bill.

Republicans on the other hand, are insane religious fanatics. They don't give a fuck what you or I think

2. I'm a lefty whose life has been scarred by one damn conservative
after another in national office. I have no use for conservatives of either party, to tell the truth. They will always be our problem and never our solution.

The upper reaches of the party continue to be conservatives and Wall Street Democrats, so I expect little out of a Democratic Congress.

However, I do expect investigations into just how much has been looted from us over the past 6 years. I expect a return to fiscal sanity and a modest (read: inadequate) rise in the minimum wage.

And I expect Stupid to veto it all.

3. It's a beginning.
The bottom line is- it's the people.

No matter what party, their behavior is dictated by the vigilance of the people.

4. No bashing Dems on election day. Come on!
Bash the weak ones when we have a majority, but let's get the majority first.
