Election update from Palm Beach County, FL.

Just taking a quick break from driving seniors and disabled to and from the polls. From what I can see, the turnout is big. Palm Beach County is heavily Democratic, so maybe we'll get ourselves a Dem governor this time. (Jeb can't run again due to term limits.)

Many people don't know that FL requires a photo ID, (thanks to the Jeb and his thugs in Tallahassee). But I've been telling people to seek help at the polls in filling out a provisional ballot if they don't have the needed ID.

One poll I drove to had a few police cruisers outside, and they were probably there for intimidation purposes. I told the people I was driving to ignore them and that they had every right to go in and vote.

Last night, I got slammed with a Republican dirty trick. The phone kept ringing no matter how many times I hung up. The recorded message always mentioned the word "Democrat" in the opening pitch. It was, of course, a Republican tactic to get people pissed off at Dems.

As far as my own exit polls are concerned, just about everyone I've driven has voted for Dems. But FL is a big state and the northern part is the equivalent of Alabama or Mississippi. Nonetheless, I'm doing my best to get as many people to the polls as possible.
