Using Paypal, there's a prompt for the DU Membername ... which is how Skinner/admin know who get's credit (a "star"). They don't know WHO really did the paying ... just what's filled in there. Thus, such donations can be accomplished with almost total anonymity.

Since "virtue is its own reward," I think anonymity is a Good Thing™.

The nice thing about receiving an anonymous gift is the opportunity to "count blessings" ... it leads one to an appreciation of how many people in this world could be so generous. In my own view, that's often the larger gift.

I saw where Ides had reached the milestone 1000 posts, so I thought he deserved a gold star! And tonight being election night, I wanted to ensure that he would be able to chat along with the rest of us! And besides, he (and David) have done so much here to help us become aware of the growing scandals. Really, it was my thanks to Ides!

To donate, It's an easy thing to do...just go to the 'donate' box located in the upper right corner of the screen. It will pop-up with your ID for the donation, but you can change the ID to anyone else.
