Mean Jean Schmidt - Is she favored to win?
I've asked this question several times in other threads, but no one ever answers me, and I must know!!! :)

1. I Don't Know...
But I know, that much like mine, that is one hell of a conservative district, and it will be highly significant if we can get her ugly ass kicked to the curb.

2. The National Review Online cites Repub strategists saying no.
According to their information, hers is one of 20 seats that are a toss up right now, 7 of which are trending Democratic, and 1 of which is trending Republican.

4. .
Sadly I think she is. But I think it was one of the closer races and some polls had her opponent leading. But I don't know how reliable these polls were.

5. Yesterday statistical dead heat!
OH-2: The Victoria Wulsin(D)/Jean Schmidt(R) race is in a statistical dead heat. There hasn't been any polls conducted since Schmidt saying she wanted to explore the option of storing nuclear waste in her district, so the impact of that little comment is not yet known.

6. CQ says it's a toss up
But it had previously been a "leans Republican" race

7. Probably
I've seen several polls-- some have her ahead and some ahead but within the MOE. Her district is in a heavily Republican area. Personally, considering the change in the tide lately, I think Paul Hackett would have won easily.

8. Very red district but Wulsin has done well
Mean Jean is a lunatic and late in the campaign suggested her district as a poswsible repository for nuclear waste from "around the world". I hope she goes down... this race will be a good indicastor of possible DEM "wave".
