Unconfirmed Senate Numbers
by Chris Bowers, Tue Nov 07, 2006 at 05:47:59 PM EST
Don't know if these are accurate, but I just heard these.

Democrats leading in:

* VA: 53-46
* RI: 53-46
* PA: 57-42
* OH: 57-43
* NJ: 53-45
* MT: 53-46
* MO: 50-48

Republicans leading:

* TN: 51-48
* AZ: 50-46

Double super caution: These numebrs are both unconfirmed and they are exit polls. I am going to keep looking into this.

1. .
I'd be very happy with this result. I'm glad about VA. Dems leading in MD as well.
MO and TN are really close. But even 50 would be nice.

3. I think VA will tighten up considerably...
I believe the votes in the Dem leaning northern part of the state get counted first. S. VA results come later but, it's a good sign.

6. Won't the Repukes in TN and AZ get indicted soon, anyway?
We could afford to lose some seats to Republickers in those states that require a special election to replace an indicted or resigned office holder.

Even better, I'd suggest not even funding the Democratic challenger if a Repuke running for office is likely to be indicted, replacements in that state are appointed by the governor, and the governor is a Democrat.

10. OH Man, MO Is Super Tight.! C'Mon Claire!!
MT warms MY cockles!! And of course VA is Super... From what I'm hearing from one person in particular, a person I've decided has turned out to be relatively fair is Ed Rollins! From his comments I'm getting the feeling that VA won't have to deal with ANOTHER GEORGE!!

But Corker makes me want to puke! Ford might have just missed the mark, but I'm not ready to concede!!

As usual, I am finding that it's "white males" that seem to think they are their
shit don't stink" and it really pisses me off! I'm a woman who has been married to the SAME man for over 40 years, a Boomer but I have consistently seen white males as a detriment to American Democracy. Take NO Offense to those of you who really understand... but even though I've personally have educated my husband on politics, it's more than repugnant to me that they only listen to SOUND BITES and feel they speak for the rest of the country!!
