Whoo- hoo. My Repub. neighbor told me she was voting straight Dem! |
|
I've been working on her for the last 3 years. Her husband had already flipped in the last election. They used to to rock-solid Repubs back in 2000.

I hope she talked some others into it too.

3. Do you know what this means? |
|
This means that even under the worst scenario, we will win. Even if they totally found a way to steal this election, they won't win next time. And that's as pessimistic as I can be.
So at this moment, I guess I officially have to say WOOHOO! :)

6. She told me she was doing it in my honor - so I don't know if this is a trend. |
|
She's probably sick and tired of me giving her such a hard time. She doesn't know much about the issues and tells me I'm the smartest person she knows (that tells you how little she knows-lol!). She's was p.o.'d about the Foley thing because she hates liars - so this is also a big "Foley effect" I think - also.

Sometimes I'm amazed it takes so long, or so many evil/mean/crazy/screwups/lies, to change someone's vote, but then again, many seem to be the Invasion of the Body Snatchers types, who can't be changed - as someone on here put it - even if GWB serviced a sheep in the Oval Office!

5. Gratifying to see your labors bear fruit, isn't it? |

Keep working on them; they may have friends who need persuasion for 2008.

an uber-Republican, former marine, Vietnam vet Bush lover said he is voting FOR stem cell research here in MO and will NOT be voting for EITHER side in ANY of the races. He's fed up but still won't go the extra mile and admit he was WRONG. But that's okay, it's one less Republican vote.
