I Drove Someone to The Polls....

Then I drove them home.....

I had the day off today and honestly I slept in because of a draining week at work....I have contribute $$ to my favorite candidate and talked to others about the issues they represent.

This afternoon I took my Laptop and headed to the local Bistro for a cup of JAVA. During my stay I was talking to a young man who works there, he knows that I am up on my politics and on the Tester/Burns race in particular. We exchanged opinions and and maintained respect for each others thoughts.

As I was walking out I shouted to the 20 or so people in the place HAPPY ELECTION DAY BE SURE TO VOTE...the young man then said he would like to vote but had no way to the polls, I asked him then if he was registered he said yes, then if he knew where his polling place was...no I don't know.....so I made a call to the election board and got his polling place and gave it to him then he said since he didn't have a car he would not be able to go so I asked him when he got off work....30 minutes I offered to drive him and he accepted the offer.....he invited me into the polling place and signed in and five minutes later came over to me and said ONE MORE FOR TESTER.

I hope many off you made the same effort/sacrifice for OUR country....funny what we can happen when we listen...

4. that is a great story. Unexpected votes are the best kind
I also drove people to and from the polls but all were scheduled before hand. Mine was an interesting and productive day but I like the nice surprise of your day too.
