From my experience, most conservatives have no freakin' IDEA what Socialism even means - they say socialism and communism in the same breath... I don't want to forgive 'em, but are they possibly confused because the USSR was the Union of SOCIALIST Soviet Republics, but they were really Communist? Nah, that's giving them too much credit. Socialism is like Western Europe, dammit, where they actually have health care, education, etc.
