Almost like closing time at the bar and you haven't hooked up yet. Thank Gods I haven't had to play that game in over a decade. Thanks to a woman I have to give props to right now that is putting up with frequent outbursts of me yelling obscenities at political pundits and people like Chris Matthews, who I can't believe has a career in broadcasting. I mean I used to be in radio and was kind of a mumbler at first but holy Christ on a trailer hitch Tweety! There are whole sentences that are lost on me when you try to speak.

Anyhoo, it looks like we could pull this one off but I'm not celebrating just yet even though I am slowly building my intoxication level to that peak should the miracle happen. I have watched with all of you as this administration has put this nation on a path to a dim dystopian future that has replaced my need to watch scary science fiction movies. I'm still expecting them to somehow pull something out of their sleeves in a Rovian slight of hand trick in the wee hours of the morning. The ship seems to be sailing straight and true for now depite their best efforts so I'm optimistic but cautious. I'll be here with all of you until we reach the other side. GO DEMS!!!

I missed the bus home this evening, so I started at a bar downtown near work while waiting on a ride. I'm still very much gunshy after 2000, 2002, and 2004 (the latter 2 spent on these pages). But I'm starting to feel some hope, I really am.
