NJ is more comfortable with corruption than trying something new.
From a Fox reporter at Menendez' headquarters.

Here is the whole quote, thanks to Tivo.

"70% of the voters they talked to said Tom Kean Jr. had stronger ethics. Now some have said about New Jersey politics that New Jerseyans are more comfortable with even the question of corruption than they are with venturing out to try something, somebody new, or somebody outside of that vein, so that may be a hard sell for Tom Kean Jr."
