Douche Matthews pretended Casey was snubbed at Dem convention because of abortion |
|
Then he later told Dean he knew it was because Casey didn't support the Dem nominee.
So why'd he pretend it was about abortion? Whadda douche.

As Governor, Casey Sr. had tried to have the Dem's recognize a Pro-life platform. It didn't fly though. Casey Sr. was responsible though for some of the most restrictive anti-abortion measures in the country.

the Democratic convention because of his pro-life stand. Dems are foolish if they push pro-lifers out of "the big tent."
Being pro-life does not mean you hate women or want women to die. Being pro-life means you don't support abortion and, usually, that you oppose euthanasia. Often, it includes opposition to capital punishment and war as well. You can oppose abortion and also understand that a pregnant woman may require medical treatment that endangers her baby's life -- and support her right to that medical treatment. It is also incorrect that all pro-lifers oppose contraception; some do, some don't. And, contrary to what seems to be popular belief among pro-choicers, only a tiny minority of pro-lifers think violence against abortion clinics is ever justified. Also contrary to what pro-choicers generally seem to think, not all pro-lifers are either religious or socially conservative in regard to other issues. Pro-lifers are like pro-choicers -- a diverse group of people with diverse reasons for their ethical and moral convictions.
