Sigh...I wish Texas was part of the blue wave
but looks like it isn't--at least in the statewide races.
Very very sad.
We had some quality candidates.

13. i met him at ford park in beaumont texas
he's an alright guy, i think ideologically conservative to some extent, but the gerrymandering put poe in his slot in our district. it effectively turned this small patch of blue red.

i'm glad to see he is doing good tonight.

(We hope to have made a much larger "showing" of democratic voters than in the last few years.)

We CAN cheer for our DU'ers in States with big wins !!!! For now, we can share their Blue Wave

17. I've had it with this state.
If people haven't had enough of Republicans jamming awful, destructive policies down their throats, to hell with them. Don't drag me down with you.

Thank (insert diety here) I have two Democrats representing me under the pink dome.

Dammit. I love living in Austin. It's too bad the rest of the state (collectively) like living in the dark ages.

19. Texas is going to take some time and a LOT of $$$$.
When we have a clearly established majority, we really are going to have to focus efforts on deprogramming and educating our fellow Texans.

Hang in there

25. Perry only has about 42% of the vote
Without the 2 RNC paid operative clowns running, it would be a landslide for Bell! It isn't as bad as I expected, and if Perry "wins" with less than 50% then I'll actually take that as a win for us. And honestly, though I don't understand why, KBH is extremely popular among moderates in this state (most people I know think she's pro-choice, even). So I didn't think we could take her seat. Other than Van Os and Radnofsky, we honestly had rather weak, underfunded candidates.

I think we've done pretty well considering. And hey, we can be part of the second wave- better late than never. :)

And let me repeat- Perry does NOT have a majority of the vote. God that sounds good!

31. Damn Kinky & Strayhorn
They both had to know there was no way they could win. Strayhorn's ego wouldn't let her bow out, and Kinky's just stupid. :(

In another 4 years, hopefully, there won't be two screw up running as independants. Bell should have been a shoo in.

didn't help. But I an curious to see what sort of ground we did make. I don't think it will be a huge mandate for repukes here, but who knows?

I know a lot of moderates that have been voting for republicans for the last few elections, and all of them voted Bell.

kicking and screaming! My husband got a job here and now he travels so guess who's stuck in this hell hole while he's traveling the northeast--in fact, the VERY PLACE I TRIED TO GET HIM TO MOVE TO--THE NORTHEAST.

Good to know there are good Dems still here :hi:

I feel ya tonight, but there is so much to be happy about I'm just tuning out "Governor Goodhair's" win!
