2. I gotta say, he was one Republican I liked. I realize that it needed to happen, but if
we could swap him back in for some shitbird, like say, Saxby Chambliss, and kick that fucker to the curb and leave Chaffee in the Senate, I'd live with that.

Chaffee has a conscience. He's just affiliated with a bunch of scumbags.

3. Yea but we need (D)s in the majority to get committees and subpoena power
THOSE are the big things. EVEN if it is a DINO that makes the difference, sad to say.

5. I agree..
... he would have made a decent conservative Dem. But, we need that seat, so I can't say I'm sorry he's gone. He COULD have switched parties.

I agree with all, we needed a (D) ... I celebrate that nut job Santorum's loss ... Chaffee, well I'll celebrate a (D) win (vs. his loss)

10. Two more years and Saxby Shameless is up for re-election.

Patience is a virtue. (And difficult!)

8. Chaffee was adamantly against the war

And is a decent guy, (R) next to his name notwithstanding. This is a vote against Bush, not against Chaffee.

I, for one, salute him. :patriot:
