but it seemed to me he was bitching about the lack of solid answers from both sides on the Iraq war. He wants those who support it to say why the thousands of lives lost are worth it. I think he's got a point.

Don't get me wrong, I like Howard Dean and respect the hell out of him, but when Dean ran for president he set himself up as the anti-war president. He got my admiration right off the bat, but now Dean is making himself more centrist for political reason. I understand that because he represents the Democrats as a whole.

But I would like to see someone take on that 'cut and run' rhetoric by saying 'yeah, we should leave and leave now'. We can negotiate with other middle eastern countries to pick up the slack, leave (which will slow down the killing) and continue to support the current government in Iraq without putting our own troops on the line. That's what I want to hear, but I haven't heard one politician say 'it's time to leave Iraq now'.

Sadly, it won't happen...all because of politics. :grr:
