I'm going to bed... If I wake up and this Dream turns out to be a..
nightmare, I'm kicking somebodies ass. I don't know whose but somebody is definitely getting an ass kicking... that's for sure. Good night all, Great Job. I'm not sure how we managed to get through the cookie crust of corruption in this mallowmar country of ours but it looks like we may have gotten just what we asked for... a chance to make a real difference.

I must say, tonight has given me a lot of hope... and that's an emotion that has been running quite thin with me lately. Even if we don't take the Senate, it looks like we will take the House and that means John Conyers, Chairman of the Judiciary. I'm not writing the Senate off, not by a long shot, but that was more than I hoped for so I'll be happy with what I really, really wanted. I'd like to thank the great people here on the DU for doing what was needed to keep the dream alive and all those that drove this day home.

As I sit here typing, CBS is calling a gain of 14 seats for Dems and a gain of 3 Senators and the night is still young... all I can think about is that John will never have to chair another hearing from the indignant depth of the basement of some building. Next time he chairs a hearing on the DSM or Election Integrity or any of the other myriad scandals yet to be looked into, he'll sit in a seat of honor... a seat befitting his service and integrity.... Oh, wait, CBS just updated their results to a gain of 15... we won...............

I'm not sure how I feel about all this right now, it's just too much to handle and this day has worn me out. Great Job guys and good night... I love you all and I know better days are coming soon for all of us. I'll say a prayer for all of us (even for those who think it's a waste of time) and thank God for this miracle. Good night all...

2. Amen. :) Yours is the first post I've read on DU since I voted this afternoon.
I didn't even have a clue how the election was going until I read your post. I hope some idiot at Fox News doesn't make some asinine and untrue announcement. ;) Sigh. I know John Conyers will listen to us. He's one of the few, isn't he?
