It took someone like Dean to realize that we have to have a strong position in ALL 50 STATES! Dean's plan and grass-roots movement has taken us from 2004 to now. Without him, this would be another miserable loss.

Through the filter of DU, we assume people *should* know and understand more than they do.
They don't.
It's taken them this long to wake up. I'm glad it's happened, and I don't discredit Dean for this success. But I'm fairly confident these results have FAR more to do with the job Bush and Co. have done than anything positive Dean has done. The Dems have moved to the center...hurrah, good to win elections. That's pretty much the sum of Dean's contributions. And don't get me wrong...we DESPERATELY need this. I just hope we haven't sold our souls to make a point.

26. kkkarl was NEVER a genius, just an unprincipled political sociopath who |
|
would ALWAYS win the prize for the lowest dirty trick. He learned that from lee atwater--may he burn in hell. "ratfuck" was kkkarl's own term for how he dealt with those that got in his way. The BFEE didn't hire kkkarl because he was smart, they hired him because he was a dirty-ass political streetfighter and would do whatever it took to get the bush* family fucktard into 1600.
Dr. Dean, on the other hand, is a brilliant tactician and now has command of all he politically surveys. He's smart, shrewd and principled. And hopefully he never forgets the Dem collaborators that helped feed him to the wolves. The corporate hold on the Democratic Party has just been loosened and the DLC has been put on notice. I'm sure the Clintons WILL be taking his calls.

NEW Republican talking point... With DEMS controlling the House &/or Senate they won't be able to do anything either.
THEY are expecting US to behave the way THEY did when they were in control.
But the leadership is fully committed to getting the job done and not to messing around with punishing any one who WANTS to be part of the solution.
We have the House, we have supeana power.
Pelosi is committed to running the MOST Honest & Ethical Senate in the history of the US of A.

What we have found is that he GOP is all about dirty tricks and win at all costs... look at campaigns like Fords, we don't play dirty. I think the fact that we are waiting for results from states like Virginia, Missouri and Montana is a testament to Dean's 50 state strategy, and people like Schumer and Emanuel should eat crow.

I'm of the thought that all things happen for a reason. And sometimes, it seems like our fate may be predetermined. Having said that, I couldn't be happier he had his scream at the convention. And I'm almost grateful to the GOP for making such a big deal out of it.
Howard Dean is a true patriot, and finally even the skeptics in the party are coming around.
