How big is The Big Tent? Can we talk?

If we come to the party, having supported the Party by voting straight Democratic ticket no matter what...

And yet there is one candidate, that no matter what loyalty, support and solidarity we bring to a national Democratic win in November of 2006, there is one candidate that is unsupportable, unworthy of filling in that blackening that bubble, to slip into the scanner with post-modern faith that it will be tabulated-- can we talk about that?

It’s striking, it’s painful-- and for those reasons-- it’s worth discussion. Rather than an invitation to attack and belittle, it is an invitation to discuss why loyal and across-the-board-faithful Democrats could not bring themselves to vote for certain individuals.

Isn’t it?

Let’s say the individual is in a long-held seat from a powerful nation/state and in a high-power, high-profile position on a committee overseeing the appointment of, let’s say, Supreme Court nominees.

Let’s say that that Democrat made a big show of asking pointed questions before appointing one-- and then another-- nominee of the Republican administration to the Supreme Court (both of whom, incidentally, actively promote the Unitary Executive power of a POTUS with no checks and balances), would that be an appropriate topic for discussion?

Let’s say that public official was a brazillionaire married to a brazillionaire magnate who profits from the sale of armaments. Would that relevant to the election and the ongoing War of Choice and Profit in Iraq?

After we win tonight, as we head in a New Direction for America and redirect the national discussion, is it okay to talk about checks and balances, corporate power and profits (including as related to the War On Iraq), the Unitary Executive and importance of appointments to the Supreme Court and DINOs who are so objectionable that they stop the black pen in All Dems All The Time Bubble Mode?
