So what happened to Diebold today?
Did we finally blow the lid of their treachery? Or did someone there get a conscience?

1. Their assignment was to keep Senate close enough to take to
court and it looks as thought they are doing that.

2. I was wondering the same thing! I really figured we'd gain but not enough
to take control....and the cover story would begin.

What a nice surprise!!!!!!!!!!!1

3. Maybe the Dems made sure there were good people around to keep an
eye on things and make sure they stay on the up-and-up?

4. I think we turned out too heavy for them to steal it.
I saw once in the Webb Allen race where Klan boy jumped ahead by 20,000 in mere seconds. Webb came back though and is in the lead now though. That sudden 20,000 jump was very fishy.

8. That is my fear if we only take the House. But I don't know now.
I expected Rove to engineer Allen's seat and it's not panning out that way. If we take the House and the Senate, I don't know what happened, but it may be such a sweeping gain that they can't even fake it. I wonder if we might be winning by, say, 55-56% in some of these hairline races.

7. It was way too dangerous to steal this election. The Dems were ahead everywhere.
If they had ended up winning...lawyers would have been all over them.

9. Massive turnout was more than their fraud could handle
Common sense says that a large turnout in a mid term election is NOT going to be a vote for the status quo. However, if you look at the races where all the numbers haven't come in yet, such as Virginia, and we may not be out of the woods yet.

I find it very hard to believe that a racist moron such as Macacawitz could legitimately win this election with all that's gone wrong for him lately.

13. My theory is
Diebold made such a shitty software solution, that it was inherently unhackable. Meaning, it was so crap, nobody could log into it.

I'll bet the login part crashed.

On the other hand, if the GOP was winning, my theory would fall apart, so it's a shitty theory.

However, the turnout and anger was so massive, that if it were a fair set of elections, we'd get double our House total

21. I think we won alot bigger than the totals.
My guess is they tilted the table as far as they possibly could without getting caught and pissed off Americans overwhelmed what they could steal. I am betting the actual percentage of Dem votes in Virginia was 5 to 8 percent higher.

26. That's why I"m hoping Allen demands a recount.
But he probably WON'T, and just exactly for that reason! After all, he doesn't want America finding out something we SHOULD know about but don't, if you take my meaning.

22. Tinfoil hate BS
Can we stick with facts. I read every single reply in this thread and didnt see one example, linking, or anything about verifiable fraud. I'm not pro-diebold. In fact, my polling place gave me the OPTION of paper vs computer voting. I chose paper of course (event the the paper ballot eventually gets fed through a diebold machine). But seriously, I'd prefer actual facts over blah blah blah gonna get stolen blah blah.

23. I think they probably still cheated, but it wasn't close
except in a few areas. A Republican majority would have been too suspicious. I would like the see ANY suspicious results challenged. If we officially picked up 35 seats in the House but actually won 45, I want to know about it! And I hope Allen actually DOES call for a recount in the Virginia Senate race. It might show he lost by an even bigger margin than the official count.

24. there were problems
Edited on Wed Nov-08-06 12:31 AM by Faye
lots of vote switching going on in early voting, not sure about today yet thought but i can imagine there were.

i really think there was a huge turnout, wasn't that already said somewhere? they were saying on MSNBC earlier this was a pretty huge turnout for Midterm elections. that along with so many different forms of voting probably helped a lot.

there had to be huge turnout in Ohio --- Blackwell lost! he has been spending the last 2 years trying to suppress the voters in every way he could, and he still lost

and what we're seeing is the (still positive) result of election fraud. There's probably still much work to done with the machine issue.
