6. I'm in Orange County. We had SO MANY John Hall signs here, and

I persuaded my Republican husband to vote for him - and it was a pretty easy sell. Interestingly, the Times Herald Record reported that the Kiryas Joel block was voting for Hall, a switch from Kelly.

8. I got my ex (who I reside with) to vote for him. He's not a repug but he only

votes during Presidential elections. I live in Northern Westchester, and we have a large shopping centger here, the Cortlandt Town Center. It draws people from all over, and we had tons of Hall signs there. :)

I wasn't sure whether to expect that we had a good chance of taking that seat or not, despite seeing a couple of good polls before the election. Mostly 'cause the media didn't seem to focus on that race as much as a number of other close House races. In fact, I mainly knew about Hall's candidacy due to reading about it in Rolling Stone! But he sounds like a good guy with great progressive views. (And, being the lover of '70's Top 40 that I am, there's just something very cool about the writer of "Still the One" and "Dance with Me" now being a member of the U.S. Congress!

Last night I found a copy of the No Nuke Muse Concert of 1979...there was John Hall singing the song "Power" (about Solar Energy) and hoping that song would transfer into a win (he was behind in the polls I was following). Looks like he beat that empty chair and has made a beautiful Hudson Valley sunrise look even more beautiful today.
