and besides he was caucusing with us anyways. Sanders will caucus with us as well. It's confusing when people mention he's an independent, because he'll definitely vote more democratic than many democrats.
So was Lieberman.
I think Reid can get Lieberman to stick with us. He's a dick and will try to extract some concessions and will go with the best deal for no one else but, Lieberman.

As you know from all the bitching on DU, having a D by the name does not guarantee that a Senator will vote with the Democratic leadership on any particular vote anyway.

As others have said, You probably mean Sanders. He has said he'll caucus with us and even won the Dem primary, so he's effectively a Democrat. Lieberman has promised to go back to being a nominal Democrat, so essentially we have two more seats than what is being projected.
