Will the DLC try to take credit for these results? |
|
Or will they get a clue and realize that Howard Dean's 50 state strategy is proof that victory can only come from the ground up?

13. Yep, you're on it. I'm sure Emanuel is working the media ... |
|
... to sell them on the DLC "Conservative Dem" victory.

4. They can't, except for Hillary's. The DLC has always supported the war! |
|
As someone said earlier tonight, the people winning today are anti-Clintons. Populists.

16. Um when exactly did Hillary stop supporting the war |
|
about 15 minutes ago... do you know that summer of 2005 when Cindy Sheehan was trying to meet with the idiot in chief - and he wouldn't - he said we couldn't leave the war because we would be disrespecting those who have died - and then about the exact same time the idiot in chief said this - Hillary met with Cindy and said almost the EXACT SAME THING -
Hillary is a freaking opportunist who stands for nothing but election or re-election - if she is against the war NOW its because she stuck her finger in the air and felt which way the wind was blowing.

6. Why are you even worrying about that shit now? |
|
Worry about winning the Senate or winning period. It's a night for all Democrats to be proud.

7. The DLC would take credit for My Resurrection if they thought they could get away with it |
|
Thankfully people know better. Just like they do with tonight's victories.

8. This isn't the 50 state strategy. |
|
A lot of the races which are in play haven't been getting help from the DNC, and a lot more wouldn't have gotten help from almost anybody if it weren't for James Carville and a few others pushing the DNC and DCCC to expand the range of races they're looking at. The sentiment is good, but the reality is that the DNC hasn't, and really can't, offer full support to every candidate in every race. If we had unlimited money and time, we might be able to unseat 60 or 70 Republicans in Congress, but we don't. Tonights wins are the combination of good central campaigns, good independent campaigns, voter motivation, and the right candidates in the right places.

11. The Quislings and "good cop" fascists are spinning like mad. |
|
Joe Scabrous and Andrea Bitchell were waxing strong on the fiction that the "more conservative" Dems were the 'party of the future' ... totally ignoring some of the more resounding defeats of Repugnants at the hands of staunch liberals in 'red' states. Also ignoring the luke-warm support for Ford in Tennessee ... which I ascribe more to his Vichy stances than his race.
The people in states like KY and TN want someone who takes STRONG stances ... not some sister-kisser, imho. These aren't people who tolerate fence-straddlers or wishy-washy crap. They go more on the IMPRESSION than on the tap dancing.

because Dean didn't say we were pulling out of Iraq NOW...she had a tantrum and said we won the House in spite of him.
I won't even link to the post, but it is pretty ugly.
He was especially good on Larry King a few minutes ago.
