Minnesotans, how did Colleen Rowley do?
I don't see her in the House thread above. Was she expected to lose?

2. I saw the scrawl say she was losing big.
Which is a big shame for our nation.

7. In a football game, some score touchdowns and some play defense.
Our nearly 200 "losing" candidates nationwide aren't really losing. They were playing on the defense squad, holding back the other side from scoring too many points. We were always going to lose some seats--unless you wanna live in a one party state. Still, those who don't score a seat in the House represented us, took our message to the country--to the whole 50 state strategy. That matters.

They didn't win, but really if you stand up for what you believe in and force the Republicans to commit resources across the whole country, then they didn't really lose in the full sense of the word either.

5. I live in this district....

Rowley, sadly wasn't a very strong candidate campaign wise and the district is a real repug gerrymander -- all wealthy southern Twin Cities suburbs neutralizing some liberal areas and working-class towns.

6. Kline did illegal campaign sign posting, though.

It was reported, but I don't know if that will amount to much more than a fine.

OOPS forgot to explain that...

Signs posted in the middle of the night last night on public strips near churches where voting would be taking place. In MN they have to be 100ft plus away from polling locations and Federal law declares that putting signs up on church property is a violation of seperation of church & state.
