Welcome home America!
You've been missed. Tonight, for the first time in six very long years, I'm going to go to bed knowing that when I get up in the morning, my country will be back on the road to where she belongs - the land of Democracy! :) :) :)

2. Damn, that's it! The odd feeling I've had all evening.
Not really elated like I had hoped. Not so tense as I expected.

Feels like coming home after a long, bad road trip. We are tired and we have a shit load of baggage to unpack and sort. Lot of laundry and cleaning to do and it will be hard work...

But, damn, it IS good to be home.

12. You said it better than I did. That's exactly how I've been feeling all night.
Spent the day knowing that something big was happening, but I didn't want to look too soon.
Tonight, I know how things are turning out, but I haven't done the happy dance.
Mostly, I just want to sit and cry. Cry because now we have a chance to fix the horrible things the
* mis-administration has done to us, our country, and the world. I was so afraid to hope that it could happen.

I only wish we could 'fix' the lives that have been lost. I weep for them.

don't forget that in our absence the house has been trashed ...we have a LOT of cleanup and repair work to do... today the battle has been won...but tomorrow the struggle will continue. Don't let up.

13. Exactly, I've been saying the same thing to people
and many haven't been wanting to listen. I am ecstatic that we had such a good night...but let's not forget to hold the Dems' feet to the fire now that we have given them the opportunity (and the hella difficult task) to clean up da joint. Not that it's going to be easy, but don't let em slack off! They must continue to show us that they have truly earned this opportunity, that they are worthy of the responsibility, the privilege.

Whew, we did it..right on, we did it.
