I said in another post earlier today we had finished a journey, and that today would be the day we found out if we still deserved to call ourselves a Democracy.
We do.
Now we take the first steps onto a new path- one that I believe will reshape and restore our nation. We now have the power to not only put a stop to the madness, but to begin again, and to renew The Land Of The Free. We can now begin the process of restoring the world's once-great respect for us. We can now take strides to heal some of the hurt our nation's representatives has caused throughout the world.
We can now show the Republicans what the term Democratic Republic really means.
We can now let our elected leaders know we still hold these words to be true, and we will now hold them to their intent. We can now remind them that the real power is held by the CITIZENS of America, not by a single man cowering within an office within a building that's been surrounded by guns and concrete barriers.

But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security...
For the first time in six years I can say this and really mean it: God Bless America.
We have a nation to rebuild, people. Let's get to it.
