That would be good news for Webb, IMO.

Anyone know anything about this?

1. MSNBC says 33,000
A heavy HEAVY blue area.

Webb may come out of this with an insurmountable lead.

3. yes, MSNBC has been discussing this for awhile
33,000 in a heavily Dem district. One commentator, after admitting his wife worked on the Webb campagign, said that there wasn't a single Allen sign in the entire area.

This is good.

5. Provisionals and Absentees
I wonder how many are there. Will they affect this election?

Does Fairfax vote heavily for Dems?

13. Reason for hope

Two of Fairfax County's absentee precincts went 4,708 / 2,433 and 4,157 / 2,766 to Webb. Their last outstanding precinct is also for absentees. (Will not get prematurely giddy, will not get prematurely giddy...)

Both of Richmond's absentee districts still have yet to report, too.

16. On CNN, one guy said (didn't catch his name) ...
... That he can't imagine the Allen campaign is very happy about the fact that 30k+ ballots from Fairfax have yet to be counted, as it's largely a Democratic stronghold.

17. Q: Are These Early Voting Ballots/Absentee Ballots/Provisional Ballots?
Each of those are handled in a different way.

Early voting ballots are to be counted like any other ballot, no investigation or confirmation of requirements since they were cast after meeting a poll worker. Just cast before Nov 7th.

Absentee ballots are counted same way except there is confirmation that all the absentee ballot requirements have been met since many came in the mail and there was no direct contact with poll workers. Problems could be the postmark date, failure to sign, etc.

Provisional ballots by their nature require investigation of some questionable matter before the ballot may be counted. This is because they met a poll worker and something was off --at wrong polling precinct because the district lines changed, or the voter moved since the last election and did not notify the election office, or the person's name is no longer on the poll books because it has been removed for some reason, rightly or wrongly. These ballots are not automatically counted.

19. If these uncounted ballots are from Northern VA
Fairfax, Arlington and Alexandria - its over Webb will win without question....

MT and MO looks good so depending on what LIEberman does I'd say we're either one up in the Senate or tied - good enough to keep the idiot in chief in slow motion for the next two years

and you know I heard Scott Ritter on Ray Taliaferro about two weeks ago and Scott felt that if the Dems didn't take back at least the House the idiot in chief would attack Iran by March - and if we did he'll never get it done in the time he has left in office. So if Scott is right - say a little thank you prayer to the Goddess because America might just have stopped this freak in the White House in his tracks
