What do you hope to get out of this successful election cycle?

I have several hopes that I think are finally going to be within reach.

1. Legalize gay marriage on a national level.
2. Legalize abortion on a national level.
3. Renewal of more common sense gun control. (ban handguns and assault weapons)
4. Get out of Iraq. Redirect our funding for social aid rather than an oppressive war machine.
5. Start the foundation for getting a Democrat into the whitehouse in 2008.
6. Place common sense regulations to allow migrant workers to become citizens without hassle
7. Place programs in effect to fund Iraq for education rather than war.

I truly think by 2009 we will be headed the right direction. The first time we have been since 2000.

1. I do not see the first two happening until we have a Dem in the WH. My two cents

2. Create a workable plan to get out of Iraq, punish the war profiteers.

Investigate the bush administration, leave no stone unturned.

But for a few days, it will be nice to relax. I feel like I've been walking around with clenched teeth and a whirlwind in my chest for the last 6 years.
