It is fitting that we won on the sixth anniversary of the 2000 Election

Many people remember December 12th as the "day that democracy died," but it began its death spiral on November 7th, when Florida was stolen by Jeb and Cruella, with DeLay and Sweeney providing troops of the Brook Brothers Riot a few weeks later. Now, Katherine Harris is finished politically, and so are DeLay and Sweeney. Blackwell, thief of 2004, is also done. Sadly Crist has taken Jeb's place, but part of me believes that he will only be a one-termer, especially if he is outted.

I am also seeing a Democratic Party very different from 2000 or even 2004: one that is beginnng to coordinate itself and show a spine. Yes Pelosi and Reid still have a ways to go, but compared to Gephardt and Daschle at this point six years ago, they are an improvment.
