Why: He's in it for the power. Why spend two years being Secretary of Defense, when he will Chair a Senate committee? Unfortunately, Reid will probably have to suck his dick to keep him in the caucus, but he will stay.

This isn't an easy thing for me to say because I am no fan of Lieberman, but he's not going anywhere right now so he should be encouraged to rejoin the Democratic party. Too much is on the line these days to hold grudges so I recommend we try to play nice until he's up for reelection.
