2. It's tricky. I think there is a provision that Cheney can appoint a new veep
so the trick is in the timing and preventing that.

I think.

Hopefully wiser heads here can tell you for sure.

But if Bush is convicted before Cheney, I don't know what the Constitution says about who become VP then.

8. It would depend on whether or not Cheney had time to appoint
a new vice president and get that person approved by the Senate.

Impeached means "formally accused".

They're only out if they (both of them) are convicted or step down willingly.

Both are guilty of the same crimes, both get impeached in the same bill and get tried and convicted together.

Then yes, it's Hail To The Chief for President Pelosi.

14. Cheney would retire for health reason to place a firewall between
Pelosi and the Oval office before that would happen. Interesting exercise to think who numb-nuts Bush would nominate.
