Why they aren't calling MT |
|
Sorry about the constant, repetitive posting of the #s, but when I started, it was Tester 55-43. The most recent #s are Tester 51-47 w/ 58% reporting. With the outlying counties that are made up of a lot of ranchers, etc. that vote R, it's prudent to wait a while
Presently:
U.S. Senate (503 of 867 Precincts Reporting) 58% reporting
D Jon TESTER 115,182 51 R Conrad BURNS 104,909 47 LB Stan JONES 5,487 2

Early returns on Yellowstone Co: Tester 18161 Burns 16888 Pretty even split. Sucks that Gallatin won't report till the morning, but I think the split will be similar to Yellowstone. http://sos.mt.gov/ELB/archives/2006/elections/general/ussenate/index.aspKJ

I'm confident in Claire. But I think this race is going to get tighter and tighter. Fingers crossed!

7. Right about those ranch counties usually strong GOP |
|
but the population numbers are in the cities.
Now, Kalispell is GOP but if people were standing in long lines to vote, it is probably cuz they are pissed and want some changes.
I got a call from GOP at five minutes to poll closing time. I live in a county with so few registered DEMs we can hold meetings in a VW Bug. If they are calling to GOTV in this county at that hour, they are pissin their pink panties!

Good to hear about the late calls. I've heard the same from some friends, so that's encouraging. Go Tester! KJ
