What movie scene are you thinking of now?
I'm thinking of the end of Independence Day and Darth Vader throwing the emperor down the shaft. And you?

4. A little ashamed,
but thinking of "The Abyss." A scene where a dude gets punched so hard he flips right over. Very cathartic.

14. 1776
I saw the movie for the umpteenth time yesterday, and I'm thinking of the end, of all of those Founding Fathers, gathering together to sign the Declaration of Independence.

Tonight, a new set of founding mothers and fathers are going to start a new revolution, to take back our government.

16. ....
I'm thinking of the scene from Star Wars: A New Hope.

It goes something like this:

*Imperial Officers bickering about the Senate not allowing pure evil to happen*
*Grand Moff Tarkin enters*
GMT: The Imperial Senate will no longer be of any concern to us. I've just received word that the Emperor has dissolved the council permanently. The last remnants of the Old Republic have been swept away.
Officer: How will the Emperor maintain control without the bureaucracy?
GMT: The regional governors will now have direct control over their territories. Fear will keep the local systems in line.

Sorry, I am very wary of things to come. I sense a great disturbance in the Force. The Dark Side is elusive and clouds everything...
