MSNBC is saying Hillary may cut a deal to become Senate Majority leader now and abort 2008 run |
|
They said the deal is available to her from Harry Reid.

9. Please take it, Hil! I don't want you running for Prez! |

She does a good job on speaking out against Rethugs, but her voting record sux! Plus, so many Rethugs hate her that they'd have a record turnout and she would LOSE! You hear me? LOSE!

Anything that keeps Hillary from losing the 2008 Presidential race for us, is a good deal.
But I want one more thing from her first: Resign membership in the DLC. Because their agenda is NOT what will be driving this party.

I'd much rather see her stay in the Senate, for which I think she is well suited.
She has done a couple of things in this campaign that really chapped my hide, I don't want her to run for President. Although yes, I'd vote for her if she ended up being our candidate -- and of course the prospect of her and Bill back in the White House has a lot of merit, especially considering how much wailing and gnashing of teeth it would cause for the right wingers.
But really -- majority leader of the Senate would be a really plum position, give her lots of power, and she is not such a divisive figure in New York as she is nationally.
Er, assuming we really do win the Senate that is! Looking forward to seeing it officially recorded in the morning!

would discombobulate. What will they say if they can't spurt out 'Hillary for President' like they have turret's? It would really throw their plans askew.

I'm a bit worried. Hillary hasn't had the best ear for things, and Harry runs a bit too conservative.
Then again, this is the Senate we're talking about.
