Jon Tester is a solid progressive. The ONLY issue that he sides with the GOP on is Gun Control. Tester is a progressive who has done a great job appearing to be a moderate.

Every time a Dem won, they would say that it was a "new" kind of Dem - very conservative ... closer to Republicans on social issues. They implied that the Dem leadership and the party as a whole would have to change to accommodate their conservative values. It's like they were trying to say that the conservative movement was alive and well ... even though the GOP got its ass kicked!

Basically, they're trying to spin it as a victory for Republican "values" - even though the candidates are Democrats.
