I live in New Zealand. I got home from work just before CNN called the House for us.
I had just walked in the door and put down my bag. I turned on CNN - for the first time in two years - and within moments they announced that they were calling the House for the Democrats. I cried like a baby - we finally get our country back.

I feel like I've woken up from a very long nightmare. It's an even better feeling than in 1992, and that's saying an awful lot. Today it feels like a step back from the precipice.

Good night and sweet dreams to all DUers. :)

7. Hi Wysi
I'm in Thailand and have been reloading DU, CNN and the Salon War Room six times a minute for the last six hours. It's times like these that being so far from home is hard...Thank goodness for the DU family and Skype and everything else.

Sleep well and have the sweetest dreams you've ever had!

Jean Louise

8. Cheers!
Cheers Jean Louise! About the only thing that would make the night better would be to be at home with my family in MA right now, all of us cackling like mad (Democrats to the core, all of us). :)
